Winthrop Indoor Activities Part Two

Sunday morning, we wake up to a big dump of snow. Yup, that's the mini van!

The front of the 'Heller Hideout'.

Fitch was taking pictures of the kitchen table. Nice lighting son!

Outdoor Winthrop Adventures Part One

At the park, Fitch puts on a show! We are all entertained. He even Kung Fu!

I think Alaska liked the slide and the swings at the park. Fitch was a snowball warrior.

The view off of the cabin's balcony. The boys head to the clearing above Lincoln's head to create two fast sleigh tracks.

The family are out in the parking lot of the Winthrop Big Red Barn where inside a community Bazar is underway. Outside the snow is falling and we are touring around the area.

A tired girl, not too sure what to think.

Winthrop Indoor Activities

Fitch plays hide and seek in the cupboard and Alaska holds onto her plastic phone that goes to the kitchen set she got from Susie and Jerry.

Climbing on every surface possible, Alaska looks out the window at the snow.

The boys are busy building and following the instructions. We play a lot of lego!

Winter vacation

This was the start. Over the Steven's Pass to our stopover in Leavenworth, WA. Leavenworth was a dying railway town that was converted into a Bavarian themed town in the '70s.

A lot of snow came down in the night. After a good breakfast, watching cartoons and swimming in the indoor pool, we hit some fun themed shops.

Enjoyed pretzels.

A beautiful morning to continue our journey to Susie and Jerry's cabin in Winthrop WA.

fitch's fourth birthday party...its all about lego

the official invitation was created by
fitch and allison

 the main entertainment was a muti-level, multi-room
fort fashioned out of three scooter boxes

fitch poking his head out of what was deemed
as 'the toilet' at the top of the fort

more fort fun

there was an organized 'build a car and race event'...

 ...sometimes building high preformance machines
requires help from older folks.

...and concentration

displaying the cars for a 'show and shine'

boys always have to get their hands in...

the distance challenge in full swing...
the car that coasts the furthest gets a prize...

 happy birthday to you...

jonah finds some peace in the fort to have his cake

 cake and crane

wow...what a day 14 kids (including alaska)
one cardboard fort, and hundreds of legos...
we all slept well that night...

thank you all for coming, and helping to make fitch's fourth so fun.
